15 April was another happy day for the staff of Colibri Automation, as we participated in a “Celebration of Colibri’s 10th Anniversary, a Tour of Hong Kong Disneyland”.

At 9am, seven buses packed with the laughter and excitement of over 300 Colibri employees and their families departed from Shenzhen to Hong Kong Disneyland.  Two hours later, the buses arrived at the Disneyland car park. At 11am, everyone gathered at the Disneyland entrance for a group photo as a way to remember and preserve the smiles on everyone’s faces.

The Colibri staff entered the park in high spirits and with great enthusiasm. Together, the staff wandered through the four theme parks – Main Street U.S.A, Fantasyland, Adventureland and Tomorrowland. Main Street USA was a nostalgic place, with its exhibits on the bygone era where electric lights replaced gas lamps and automobiles replaced horse carriages. These nostalgic designs allowed us to experience both exotic landscapes and the changing times. Moving on to Fantasyland, both adults and children alike were excited as they vie to get up close and pose for pictures with Winnie the Pooh, Snow White and Mickey Mouse. Venturing into Adventureland gave the experience of entering a primitive jungle – riding a bumpy boat down a stream lined with towering rocks and dense foliage, accompanied by the distant sounds of wild beasts and the rolling of crocodiles in the water. Finally, we left these waters for Tomorrowland, a futuristic space of sci-fi adventures and space shuttles.

As we wandered through this exotic dreamland, some staff members sat at quiet spots in the park, browsing through the pictures in their cameras and admiring the shots they’ve taken. Others took the time to consider their shots, selecting the right spots and angles, preparing to submit their photographs for the photography competition.

As night fell, lanterns were lit and fireworks bloomed across the night sky, colorful and spectacular. And with that grand finale, the staff reluctantly bid farewell to the place even as Mickey Mouse continued his play.
